Welcome to Nookara. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and Nookara, operated by Ikelene ("we," "us"). Using any part of Nookara - the account system, Scratch extension, website, API, instant messages, storage, credits, or media hosting - means you agree to these Terms.
Nookara is a unified account and services platform for the Scratch creative coding community, providing authentication, cloud storage, virtual currency, messaging, and social features to Scratch and TurboWarp projects that integrate with it.
The service is provided on a best-effort basis with no guaranteed uptime. Features, including beta or experimental ones, may change or be discontinued at any time. Support is provided by a small team; response times may vary. We keep encrypted backups of platform data for disaster recovery (see the Privacy Policy), but this isn't a substitute for keeping your own copies of anything irreplaceable - backups exist to recover from failures on our end, not to undo individual deletions.
Nookara is intended for users 13 and older. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if we learn an account belongs to a child under 13, we delete the account and its data immediately. If you believe this has happened, contact [email protected].
You agree to provide accurate registration information, keep your login secure, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account. Nookara will never ask for your password or session token.
You're welcome to create and use alt accounts - for testing, backups, or general personal use. The one rule: an alt can never be used to evade a ban, suspension, or other enforcement action on your main account.
If you believe your account has been compromised, change your password immediately and revoke all active sessions from your dashboard.
Nookara collects: account data (username, email, hashed password), profile content you choose to add (pfp, banner, bio, country, timezone), IP address and device/browser info (for security and abuse prevention), login history, uploaded files, and your credit/friend/message/notification activity. This data is used only to run, secure, and moderate the platform - it is never sold, and only shared with third parties when legally required.
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Account data | Until deletion, +30 days for recovery |
| Uploaded content | Deleted within 14 days of account deletion |
| IP addresses & security logs | Max 90 days, unless part of an active investigation |
| Credit & transaction history | Kept while the account exists, up to 5 years after deletion |
You can access, correct, or request deletion of your data at any time by contacting [email protected]. Full details are in our Privacy Policy. Nookara does not use tracking cookies - only browser localStorage, to keep you signed in.
All content on Nookara - pfps, banners, bios, usernames, instant messages, uploads - must be appropriate for our 13+ audience.
| Violation | Repeat Window | Action |
|---|---|---|
| First | - | Content removed, 24-hour upload restriction, warning recorded |
| Second | Within 60 days | Content removed, 10-day upload suspension, account flagged for monitoring |
| Third | Within 120 days | 45-day account suspension, manual content review for 90 days after, final warning |
| Severe | Immediate | Permanent termination, IP/device ban, reported to authorities where applicable |
Appeals: Submit an appeal within 7 days of a removal or suspension notice to [email protected]. We aim to review appeals within 5 business days. Reports of rule violations submitted in good faith are protected from retaliation; false reports made to harass another user are themselves a violation.
Nookara is currently free to use. Credits have no real-world monetary value, are non-refundable, and cannot be sold or traded outside official Nookara features. We may adjust or reset a balance obtained through abuse or exploits, and reserve the right to modify or discontinue the credit system at any time. Using bots or scripts to farm credits is prohibited.
Nookara may be used to sign into third-party Scratch projects. Those projects are not operated or moderated by Nookara and are solely responsible for their own content and behavior - review their own policies before use. Misusing your Nookara account through a third-party project can still result in action against your Nookara account.
When a Scratch or TurboWarp project asks you to sign in with Nookara, it must request a specific set of permission scopes - it only gets access to the categories of data you actually approve, never your full account by default. You review and approve (or decline) these scopes every time you sign in through a new project.
| Scope | Grants access to |
|---|---|
| View Basic Profile | Username, rank, badges, pfp, bio, balance (always required) |
| View Sensitive Info | Email address, IP/login history, linked Discord |
| Modify Settings | Update your profile, bio, and account settings |
| Read / Write Storage | Read or save the project's saved data on your account |
| Read / Send Instant Messages | Read your messages, or send & delete messages on your behalf |
| View / Manage Friends | See your friends list, or send/accept/remove friends |
| Spend Credits | Transfer credits or manage subscriptions on your behalf |
| View Subscriptions | View your subscription and transaction history |
| Chat Messaging | Send messages in global or room chat as you |
| Upload Media | Upload images, audio, or video under your account |
A project can only ever act on the data of whoever is currently signed in through it - it has no way to read or modify any other user's account, regardless of which scopes it holds. Scope enforcement happens on our servers, not just in the project itself, so a project cannot bypass a scope you didn't grant.
Developers integrating with the API must comply with these Terms in full. We may rate-limit, restrict, or revoke API access at any time if usage is abusive, excessive, or violates these Terms.
The Nookara name, logo, and platform design are the property of Ikelene. You retain ownership of content you upload, but grant Nookara a license to store, display, and serve it as needed to run the service - this license ends when you delete the content. You may not use Nookara's branding commercially, build a competing service from it, or reverse-engineer Nookara.
To report copyright infringement, email [email protected] with identification of the work, a link to the infringing content, and a good-faith statement. We will investigate and may remove the content.
Nookara is provided "as is" with no uptime or availability guarantee. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nookara and Ikelene are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, unauthorized access to your data, or content/bugs introduced by other users. You agree to indemnify Nookara against claims arising from your own violation of these Terms or a third party's rights.
Changes: We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes require you to review and accept the new version before continuing to use Nookara, and we notify registered users by email when that happens.
Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada. Disputes are resolved exclusively in Alberta courts, and you waive any right to a class action against Nookara.
General: If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Nookara on this subject. Feedback you submit to us may be used without compensation to you.
